Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat
The Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat is a nice unit if you don’t want to have to buy several seats and boosters as a child grows. This forward facing seat can be used for kids from 20 to 100 pounds. It can convert to a back booster for kids from 40 to 100 pounds.
The Nautilus 3-in-1 has a sturdy steel frame, it is heavy duty and durable, and it has met or exceeded all of the U.S. safety standard in testing. For the child’s comfort the seat reclines to three positions, and has wide padded armrests. It also is made with energy absorbing foam that allows greater comfort and protection for the child.
For increased convenience, the car seat features a cup holder and a small storage area. An open loop belt fits into position without much hassle. The latch and tether are both easy to install and use. You get a lot for the price, as similar units from other companies sometimes are double the cost.
A couple of minor problems are that sometimes the headrest is a little difficult to raise and lower, and the strap adjuster might be difficult to adjust. There is a protective piece over the strap release to prevent the child from unlocking it. The same piece that makes it difficult for the child to operate also make it hard for a parent to undo because it is concealed from view.
